Group of Vocal and Musical Artists
The Almaguin Choral Society brings together people who love to sing from Port Sydney to Callander. Started in 1989 with 29 members, the choir has grown to over 60 singers who meet on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. in the music room at the Almaguin Highlands Secondary School from September to June. The challenge of learning songs in four-part harmony becomes a fun evening with friends under the outstanding leadership of Director Gloria Kidd.
The choir will begin rehearsals in February 2010 for their cabaret performances taking place at the Land of Lakes auditorium in Burk’s Falls June 9th-12th. Tickets for these shows go very quickly. Call Fred Clark at 384-5383 for reservations in May 2010.
The choir is grateful for the donations of private and corporate sponsors which enables us to upgrade our equipment and continue providing quality entertainment to the Almaguin Highlands area.
